The CRTE course builds upon the fundamentals covered by the CRTP and focuses on more advanced Active Directory attacks in realistic enterprise environments. A major focus is the abuse of domain and forest trusts, advanced attack paths, and techniques that go beyond conventional privilege escalation.
The course also places significantly more emphasis on active security controls and their evasion. This includes understanding how defensive mechanisms detect offensive activity and how attacks can be adapted to operate around these protections.
This makes the CRTE a natural progression from the CRTP towards more advanced Active Directory exploitation and realistic red team operations.
