The best way to reinforce my cybersecurity knowledge is to apply it in live engagements. To this end, I try to solve capture-the-flag challenges on HackTheBox. These require me to apply my knowledge in new environments, with the goal of gaining initial access to vulnerable machines in a black-box scenario and escalating my privileges to root. For each box I currently solve, I create a detailed write-up, which gets added to my Security Vault.
